My crystal pattern has wheat bundles on it. Who made it?
Q.
I have some crystal stems that my aunt left me. I do not know the
pattern or company. They have what I think are bundles of wheat on the
bowl with three sprigs of wheat on the base. The stem is swirled part of
the way down.
A.
I am afraid that I can't even begin to guess what crystal pattern it is that you have. The wheat bundle is a common motif used on American crystal patterns, so it may be American. If it is, that is good for you because there are good reference books for identifying patterns by major American crystal manufacturers.
Also, the stem having a swirl pattern (as opposed to a very plain pulled stem), sounds promising. The swirl stem also indicates that the piece was probably manufactured by a major company.
If you would like for us to try to help, you should either send us a good photograph, or email us a good digital image. We can use it to try to ID your pattern.
