David Lackey has been the owner of David Lackey Antiques & Art for over twenty years in Houston, Texas. He founded a china and crystal matching service in Houston in 1981 that merged with Chinatown in Utah in 1999 to form
edish, the internet china and crystal matching service with showrooms in Salt Lake City and in Houston at the Antique Pavilion. Aside from his duties as a partner with edish, David spends most of his time with his antiques business and working with
The Antiques Roadshow on PBS.
The David Lackey Antiques & Art showroom in Houston specializes in 18th and 19th century furniture, 20th century regionalist art, British ceramics, and other decorative antiques and collectibles. The antique showroom is a part of Antique Pavilion at 2311 Westheimer in Houston, Texas and is open seven days a week. Through Internet auctions, they sell 19th & 20th century collectibles and art. David Lackey is a graduate of Baylor University and of the Christie's Fine Arts Course in London with a specialization in ceramics. He is a member of the Houston Antique Dealers Association and is on the Acquisitions Committee of the Harris County Historical Society. David has appeared over 20 times as a pottery & porcelain appraiser on the Antiques Roadshow. Since 1995, he has traveled to 40 cities in North America with the Roadshow. David has frequently been quoted in national magazines and publications about antiques and collecting.
